Kamilah Bush is an outstanding student.  This statement comes to no surprise for those who know her!  Since her arrival at over 3 years ago, she has shown true leadership, unwavering passion, a commitment to excellence in her craft, and a sincere love for God and her peers.  Kamilah also know as, K-Mill for short is a shining example of great character and has proven to be a tremendous aid to the organization within our drama department this past summer.  She worked alongside Tony Mullins (a theater major at Catawba College) to script most of the scenes of X-Perience 09 "Start Strong, Go Hard, Finish."  

Just recently Kamilah was recognized for her outstanding gifts as she toured with North Gaston School play for competition.  She did not come back empty handed!!!  The NCTC Theater Competition awarded her "OUTSTANDING ACTRESS."  Out of the 17 shows from other schools in the competition and hundreds of student actors, Kamilah was named "BEST ACTRESS."  She was voted BEST ACTRESS NORTH GASTON HIGH SCHOOL, out of a student counted vote she scored a SUPERLATIVE.

Thats not all! NCTC Scholarship auditions were held and 13 out 19 colleges offered "callback" auditions.  Greensboro College prevailed as college of choice as they offered a 19,000 dollars scholarship per year on the spot!  Lastly, K-Mill is on the deans list at Gaston college for academic achievement!!!
