A modern day Renaissance man; Mar’Ques’ charm is almost as impressive as his talents. An
Actor and Model with humble beginnings, it’s no wonder he continues to be pursued for his
amazing hosting capabilities as well.
Born in Morehead City, North Carolina and raised in beautiful Jacksonville, North Carolina,
Mar’Ques has southern charm radiating from his very soul. He was raised in a God fearing
home with parents who taught him the best about love, life and believing that all things are
possible through God. Mar’Ques ran with the thought of always being a believer and applied
that mantra to his life. Excelling in athletics; he was awarded a full scholarship at East Carolina
University. It was here that he crossed the burning sands and joined his brothers in K appa
Alpha Psi Fraternity. Although Mar’Ques had an affinity for acting early on, it wasn’t until
College that Mar’Ques discovered his passion for modeling. At East Carolina University he
began his modeling career withOmniance Modeling Troop where he found a second home
its art and received rave reviews for his signature walk and posing capabilities.
Upon graduating East Carolina, Mar’Ques began to further pursue his dream of acting and
modeling. Performing in multiple stage plays Mar’Ques career was rapidly unfolding before
him and he landed a role in the musical Dreamgirls. Earlier this year, Mar’Ques was invited to
be the opening model for the closing show in DC Fashion Week as a surprise guest celebrity
model. He has taken on the title of Celebrity Host with his winning personality and has been
invited to host numerous events including Celebrity charity events, beauty pageants, and red
carpets as well as speaking at mentoring engagements.
Currently starring in a production of the popular rock opera RENT,
Mar’Ques has a busy road ahead of him. He was recently cast as the Male Lead in Neo Soul
Artist Malakia Janelle’s upcoming video slated for release August 2015.
With aspirations of staring in his first full featured film as well as creating and staring in a
scripted television show; the world is Mar’Ques’ oyster and his dreams of bringing happiness
to it are boundless. Truly, a modern day Renaissance man, who has proven himself both
