Latise M. Howie is a 2x, award-winning author, born in Charlotte, NC and raised in nearby Concord, NC. She is also the host of the TV show, “Up Close”, on the Watch Charlotte News and Entertainment Network. Latise attended high school at Northwest Cabarrus High and is also a proud product of North Carolina Central University in Durham, NC, where she studied Political Science. Latise was often praised for her writing at NCCU, where she developed a passion for writing. Her first book was written in her early 20’s, however, she never published the work. In March of 2013, Latise decided to begin working on her first novel. She published, The Chronicles: Elevator Silence, in January 2014 and quickly followed up with the second book in the trilogy, The Chronicles: Sidetracked, on October 15, 2014. She was astonished at the response she received in such a short period of time, so she decided to publish the last book, The Chronicles: Highways, Intersections, and Exits, just one year later on October 30, 2015. Even though, Latise has been a Multi-Family Professional for over 20 years, a mother of three amazing children, public speaker, and relationship expert; she continues to find the time to develop her gifts and talents to glorify God. Latise serves on the Board of Directors for Inspire the Fire Arts Organization because she believes in the power to inspire and influence young minds. She is also the Charlotte Chairperson for Girls Who Brunch, an empowerment movement for girls ages 9-17. While she is a busy woman, she is so very thankful to use her God given talents to help others truly love themselves, and discover the thing that they were designed to do.
